I've seen the way ambassadors get treated here. I wouldnt go as far to say that they're treated like royalty, but it's not far off.
They get invited to dinners, events, launches...They get interviewed in papers and magazines. They get included in the events of the high society of Beirut life. Their brains get picked for any information regarding a potential war.
They're superstars basically.
But the one from Philippines? Poor chap. I'd love to know how many times he's been invited to events. Not a lot I'd wager. I'd love to know how many times he's been asked for a coffee at these events. Every time I'd imagine.
There cant be many worse places for him to be stationned. It would be like the Irish one in Saudi Arabia.
